Labor Day Weekend

Tomorrow, Will will be one month old. It's hard to believe that he has been with us for a month already! This past holiday weekend, Uncle Ian and Auntie Abby came to see their nephew Will. We had a great visit. Abby went home Monday night and Ian left Wednesday night. After we took Abby to the airport on Monday evening, we had a bit of excitement. Ug, our pug, had been feeling bad since Saturday night. We could barely get him to walk and he wasn't able to urinate we found out on Monday. Jered took him to the emergency vet, where they x-rayed him and did lab work on his urine, which they had to drain with a catheter. He was in the hospital all night. He was transferred to another vet on Tuesday. They did an ultrasound and found out that he had crystallized sludge in his bladder that would eventually cause bladder stones, just like our other dog Max had before we adopted him. Ug is home now and on the same prescription diet as Max so they won't get stones! Also on Monday, I came down with a fever of 102 and a breast infection. My fever broke yesterday morning, but I'm still in some pain, so I'm going to our outpatient clinic today so they can see if I need antibiotic. We had a great visit with Will's uncle and aunt despite all these problems, and we are grateful that our health seems to be returning!

One of Will's favorite games is to climb up Uncle Ian's shoulder! Look at Will holding his head up by himself.
