Two Weeks Old

Today Will is two weeks old. He is already changing! We went to the doctor today. He weighs 8 lbs, 14 oz--10 ounces up from his birthweight. He is still 21.5 inches, which puts him in the 95th percentile for weight and height--a big boy! He sleeps 5 hours at night and eats about every three hours during the day. He's getting more fun to play with. We put him on his playmat and he stares at the mirrored closet doors in his room. He can hold a rattle for a few seconds and will hold his head up and turn it around by himself also for 5-10 seconds. When we put him on his tummy, he will try to roll over. One day this past week he almost turned himself over! He can lift his whole body up with one arm, but doesn't make it over onto his back yet. When he's on his back, he can scoot himself backward by digging his heels into the surface he's laying on. We think he will be athletic as he shouldn't be able to do all these things until he's a month old! He's been a really good baby so far. He's "as cute as a button" and is fitting in so well with our family. He makes our lives more complete and we are so blessed to have him.
