Dinner with Friends and Our Trip to Julian

Thursday night Will and I had dinner with 3 of my former co-workers from DC - Shannon, Karen and Francesca. We met in Little Italy and ate outdoors at a great restuarant (I can't remember the name, but it was good!). The restuarant had a gelato and coffee shop downstairs, so we got gelato and ate at a sidewalk table. I shared my chocolate gelato with Will - he loved it! It was so fun - Will entertained us (and the others eating around us) and was very flirty with the ladies. He had an especially good time with Shannon. It seemed like he might have even remembered her from her visits before. Even though he was sick with his ear infection, he was very social and had a good time. (Yes, he put these glasses on himself and posed for the camera)


That's another thing we did this week - went to the doctor (again) for Will. He had an ear infection (again) and will be seeing the ENT specialist and audiologist at Balboa NMC on Sept 3rd. This is his sixth ear infection in a row (less than a month between them) so they need to check his hearing and to see if he needs tubes.






We went to Julian on Saturday, about 60 miles NE of where we live. We ate on the wide porch at Buffalo Bill's, strolled through the shops, bought some books from a rare and used bookstore, and shared homemade apple pie, made from Julian's famous apple orchards, and cinnamon icecream. Jered's schedule is still here, there and everywhere, so we don't get a lot of time to spend all together. So our little trip on Saturday was relaxing and a much needed mini-getaway for our family.




This week Will got in the groove with the walker and had a blast cruising around. He has the one in this video and also a walk n' ride that Grandpa Bill and GramE got him for his birthday. We have to hold onto the front of the walkers because he will go really fast and tip them over. He starts using them and doesn't want to stop. Like the energizer bunny, he just keeps going!
